CEEPUS: call for freemovers!!!

 Students from CEE countries participating in the CEEPUS programme can apply to come to the University of Montenegro under the currently open call for application of freemovers. 

Deadline for submission is november 30, 2011, for summer semester of this academic year.

Excursion for foreign students: October 2011

  On October 1st, thanks to the support of IRO, a one-day excursion was organised for foreign students currently studying at the UoM.

They visited Cetinje - the old capital, and some of the museums there, as well as the coast, towns of Kotor and Budva. On their way back to Podgorica, they visited the Lake Skadar as well.

This activity is becoming a regular one organised by IRO and focused on the incoming students.  



Course of Montenegrin for foreign students

 International Relations Office organizes a course of Montenegrin language for foreign students currently spending a part of their studies in Montenegro (within different programmes; Basileus, JoinEU-SEE, CEEPUS, etc). The course will be held twice a week, within the Rectorate building.

Director of the Montenegrin Diaspora Centre , Prof. Milan Vukcevic, provided the students with textbooks that will be used during the course. He expressed his belief that the course will help foreign students integrate into the academic community of the University of Montenegro, as well as into the Montenegrin society as a whole.   




VISEGRAD fund scholarships

 The International Visegrad Fund offers scholarships for Master and Post Master levels, for periods of 1 or 2 semesters

The call for the academic 2012/2013 is open, and students from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia can apply for a stay of one or two semesters in Montenegro. 

Given the budget allocated, around 400 semesters will be awarded in this round.

All applicants must have finished at least 4 semesters at the moment of applying.

Deadline for submission is 31st of January, 2012.

Jean Monnet Chair European Economic Integration

 

 Jean Monnet Chair Project: Euroepan Economic Integration Study on the Faculty of Economics in Montenegro (JMCEEI) is supported by the Lifelong Learning Programme of the European Union, i.e. the Jean Monnet Programme  (LIFELONG LEARNING PROGRAMME, JEAN MONNET PROGRAMME (Sub-programme), KEY ACTIVITY 1 - JEAN MONNET Chairs (Sub-action)).

The implementation period is 2012-2015, and this is first Jean Monnet Chair project implemented at the University of Montenegro.

Main activities carried out within the project are:

  • Improvement of the quality of subjects on European Economic Integration studies (8th semester) – Faculty of Economics, University of Motnenegro
  • Organisation of EU debates on the Economic faculty and related activities
